I am writing on behalf of Mr. Jolly and the Eaton Rapids Lions Club to thank you for your generous gift toward Mr. Jolly’s cataract surgery. You may remember that he was unable to keep his truck driving license because of his vision, and he was without medical insurance. I am happy to report that the surgery was a tremendous success, and Mr. Jolly is back to work. We are very grateful for the help provided by the Lions of Michigan Service Foundation.

Thank you Lions – you changed my life. As a 40 year-old bookkeeper with no health insurance, I don’t know what I would have done without your help. The cataracts that had developed in my eyes were getting so bad, I wasn’t able to work.

It is so nice to be able to see again and write a handwritten letter. Thank you so very much and may God bless you for all that you’ve done. Nobody can ever imagine what it is like until they lose their vision, and I can’t even begin to explain just how good it feels to be able to look out the window and actually be able to see even the tiniest sprinkle of snow and to be able to see good enough to work again.
